A video streaming subscription as a gift

Almost everyone watches films and series, which makes streaming a universal gift for stores with a broad audience. The partner only pays for a new subscriber.

Video streaming

What it means for the customer

The customer gets a free month or a discount on the first months of an online cinema. Activation takes a couple of minutes, and they can watch on a TV, laptop or phone.

When it's hidden. It does not compete with physical goods. Hide it only if you sell video subscriptions or digital content yourself.

What the customer sees

The streaming card on the thank-you page looks like a small tile: the partner's logo, an offer such as "free month" or "discount on the first months" and a button. In the order confirmation email it takes one block under the order total.

After the click, the customer lands on the partner's page, creates an account and picks a plan with a trial. They can start watching right away on a phone, laptop or TV. The partner shows cancellation terms before payment, so there are no surprises.

Why streaming works right after a purchase

People buy a new TV, a projector, a soundbar or a game console to watch things. A few minutes after paying, the customer is already thinking about the first evening with the new gear, and a free trial of films lands right in that thought.

The second group is home and family: a blanket, cushions, kids' items, coffee and tea for the weekend. A movie night feels like a pleasant extra there, not an ad. That is why the category suits stores with a broad audience where no more precise gift exists.

What partners offer and how the store earns

Streaming partners pay for a new subscriber: someone who had no account with them before. The store gets 60% of the payout and the network 40%. The partner checks every new user for 14–30 days, then the earning is visible in your dashboard and the payout goes out via SEPA from €50.

Typical offers:

  • a free month of the subscription for new users
  • a discount on the first months with an annual payment
  • a free trial of a kids' video service
  • a bundle of several channels for the price of one at the start
  • a discount on a plan with or without ads

Questions

Who needs streaming among my customers?

Almost everyone: it is a mass-market category. It works especially well after a TV, a projector, speakers or home goods.

Can I show only a kids' video service?

Yes. Keep the category on and add the domains of unsuitable partners to the blacklist in the plugin settings.

Do I have to choose a specific service?

No. The AI and the network pick a partner by the customer's country and your catalog. If a service doesn't suit you, add its domain to the blacklist in the plugin settings.

What happens if the customer already has a subscription?

The partner counts only new users. If the person is already registered, the conversion won't be confirmed and there is no payout for it. That is a normal share of rejected conversions, so look at final stats, not just clicks.

Does streaming fit a store without electronics?

Yes, the category is mass-market. For home goods, kids' items and clothing stores it often works as a fallback when there is no more precise gift.
