People choose a scent for a look or an occasion: a date, a new job, a trip. After paying, the buyer imagines wearing it for the first time and reaches for things around that event: an outfit, tickets, a weekend.
Perfume itself doesn't pull the buyer away. Other perfume and cosmetics stores do, so AI hides them, along with home fragrance and jewelry from the same gift budget.
Example calculation for a perfume store
Say the store gets 900 orders a month. 10% of buyers pick a gift (90 buyers), and 20% of those follow through (18 buyers), for example by buying clothes, tickets or a booking. The payout in this example is €9 per new customer.
18 buyers × €9 = €162, and your 60% is €97.20. Perfume is ordered for the holidays: if you get twice the orders in the pre-holiday month at the same rates, you'd earn €194.40. The numbers are illustrative.

Clothing stores don't sell perfume and don't compete with you for the purchase. Cosmetics stores do: they carry the same fragrance brands.
Fragrance is often bought as a gift. Who sees the block?
The person who paid: on the thank-you page and in the order confirmation email. Nothing is placed in the gift packaging.
I put samples and miniatures in orders. Will the block clash with them?
Your own gifts in the parcel and the partner block don't overlap. The block appears separately.
