Gift category

A shoe discount as an order gift

A shoe offer follows naturally after a clothing or sportswear purchase. In shoe stores this category is hidden by default because it competes directly.

Footwear

What it means for the customer

The shopper gets a promo code for a first order at an online shoe store: sneakers, everyday shoes, kids' shoes or slippers.

When it's hidden. It competes directly with shoe stores and partly with clothing and sportswear stores. AI hides the category or suggests hiding it for them.

What the shopper sees

After payment, a card appears on the thank-you page and in the order confirmation email with the partner's name and a short offer, for example "10% off your first pair". The shopper taps it and lands on the shoe store through a ThanklyClub link that carries your store's tag.

The promo code is shown on the card or applied automatically, so nothing needs to be typed in your store. The shopper uses the discount at checkout on the partner's site, usually in the cart. If they don't need it right now, the offer stays in the confirmation email for later.

Why shoes work after a purchase

Shoes are tied to other purchases. Someone just bought a coat or a tracksuit, and the question "what about shoes?" comes up on its own. The gift lands at that moment, while the shopper is still thinking about the new look and the wallet is still out.

The category works best after clothing, accessories, kids' items and sportswear. Kids' shoes have another trigger: sizes change, and parents look for a store with easy returns. For stores that sell shoes themselves, the offer would send the customer to a neighbor, so AI hides the category during catalog analysis.

What partners offer and how you earn

A shoe partner pays for a new customer, meaning a first confirmed purchase, not for a click. The payout goes through the partner's check within 14–30 days, then 60% of it is credited to your store, and payouts go out by SEPA from €50.

Typical formats from partners in this category:

  • a percentage discount on the first pair
  • a fixed euro discount on the first order
  • free shipping and free returns for new customers
  • a gift with the first order, such as a shoe-care kit
  • a discount on a second item in the cart for kids' shoes

Questions

Does a shoe discount fit a kids' store?

Yes, as long as you don't sell kids' shoes yourself. Children outgrow shoes fast, so parents buy them often.

How does AI know I sell shoes?

It reads product names, categories and descriptions from your catalog. The result of the analysis and the hidden categories are visible in your dashboard.

How much can I earn from shoe offers?

It depends on your thank-you page traffic and the partner's payout per new customer. Each offer sets its own payout, and your store gets 60% of it. Exact numbers for your store are in the dashboard, per offer.

Can I keep shoes if I sell them only as a side category?

Yes. If shoes are a minor line, for example canvas sneakers in a clothing store, AI will suggest hiding or keeping, and you make the call in the dashboard. You can also remove specific partners with the blocklist.

When do shoe offers get the most clicks?

Before the seasons: spring, autumn and back to school. Partners usually push their offers in those periods, and the dashboard shows which offer gets more clicks.
