Revenue share — Revenue share

In affiliate marketing, revenue share has two meanings. The first: a publisher gets a percentage of the advertiser's revenue from a customer it brought. The second: the network splits the payout it received with the publisher.

ThanklyClub uses the second: the partner pays the network for a new customer, the store gets 60% of that amount and the network gets 40%.

Example

For example, in a month partners confirm 25 new customers at €10 each, €250 in total. The store gets €150 and the network gets €100.

How to calculate it / how it works

Formula: share = payout × percentage. For two parties: store share = payout × 60%, network share = payout × 40%.

For example, in a month partners confirmed 25 new customers at €10 each. Step 1: total payout is 25 × €10 = €250. Step 2: the store gets 250 × 60% = €150. Step 3: the network gets 250 × 40% = €100. The store can withdraw the money once at least €50 has built up.

Where it shows up in ThanklyClub and common mistakes

The store's share is first counted as under review and becomes credited once the partner confirms it. Rejected conversions are not included.

• Mixing up the two meanings: a share of revenue from a customer and a share of the network's payout. In ThanklyClub, the partner's payout is what gets split.
• Calculating the share on the store's turnover. Here the percentage is taken from the partner's payout, not from the store's sales.
• Including rejected conversions in income.
• Expecting a payout before the €50 threshold or before the review ends.
