Income calculator

The calculator gives a ballpark of what a store could earn per month from partner gifts. It's an estimate, not a promise: the result depends on your niche, country, and the offers available. Real numbers appear in the dashboard after you connect.

How it's calculated

Store income = monthly orders × share of customers who pick a gift × share of those who complete the action with the partner × partner payout × 60%.

  • Orders per month: how many paid orders your store gets on average.
  • Pick a gift: the percentage of customers who click a gift on the thank-you page or in the email.
  • Complete the action with the partner: the percentage of those who clicked and become the partner's customer by signing up, subscribing, or placing a first order.
  • Partner pays per action: the average payout per new customer, in euros.
  • 60% is the store's share. The network keeps 40%.

Worked example

For example: 1,500 orders a month, 8% of customers pick a gift, 15% of them complete the action with the partner, and the partner pays €12.

1,500 × 8% = 120 clicks. 120 × 15% = 18 new customers. 18 × €12 = €216 in partner payouts. The store's share is €216 × 60% ≈ €130 a month, about €1,555 a year.

Assumptions

  • The block is shown on every order. If you set a minimum order total or turned off some categories, there will be fewer impressions.
  • The thank-you page and the email show the same gifts, so the calculator counts one choice per order.
  • The default values are a cautious ballpark, not network averages.
  • Income appears after partner verification, usually 14–30 days, so the first month will mostly show earnings "pending".
  • Conversions rejected by the partner are not paid; the calculator doesn't count them.

What affects the result

  • Niche: gifts that complement the purchase get more clicks. A fitness app fits running shoes better than a sofa.
  • Country and language: the set of offers and the payouts differ by country.
  • Enabled categories: the fewer categories you enable, the fewer relevant gifts there are to choose from.
  • Number of gifts: 1–3 well-chosen gifts usually work better than a long list.

How to read the result

The calculator shows three numbers: the store's monthly income, the same income over a year, and the number of target actions, meaning new partner customers. This is the store's 60% share of partner payouts, not the total partners will pay. The yearly figure is the monthly one times 12, with no seasonality built in.

Look at a range, not a single number. Move the sliders for the share who pick a gift and the share who complete the action down and up. If the result still works for you at cautious values, connecting is worth a try.

How to earn more

The strongest lever is relevance. When a gift relates to the purchase, more people pick it and more of them complete the action. Keep the categories that fit your customer enabled and turn off the rest.

  • Keep to 1–3 gifts: a short choice gets clicked more than a long list.
  • Show the block on both the thank-you page and the order confirmation email: customers may open the email later.
  • Don't set a high minimum order total without a reason: every order you filter out means fewer impressions.
  • Once a month, check in the dashboard which categories get clicks and conversions, and adjust your set.

What the calculator doesn't cover

It doesn't know your partners, your seasons, or your audience. Clicks and payouts in December can differ from August, and a store with many repeat buyers may have a different share of new partner customers. Compare the calculator's numbers with your first month of real data in the dashboard.

FAQ

How accurate is the calculator?

It's a ballpark. Exact numbers for your store appear in the dashboard after you connect: impressions, clicks, conversions, and earnings.

Why does income depend on the partner payout?

The partner pays for a new customer, and the store gets 60% of that amount. Different partners pay different amounts, so the calculator uses an average payout.

When will I get my first payout?

When confirmed earnings reach €50. Partner verification usually takes 14–30 days, and the payout goes out by SEPA.

What values should I use if I don't know the rates?

Start with the cautious defaults and move them down and up to see a range. Your real rates show up in the dashboard in the first weeks after connecting.

Does the calculator include taxes?

No. It shows payouts before tax. How to report ThanklyClub income depends on your company and country, so ask your accountant.
